Medium and Large Kite Sand Anchor

Toughstake™ is ideal for securing your Kite when you would like to take a little break. Simple tap the Toughstake™ into the sand and secure the end of the kite to the stainless guy wire ring. The approximate angle between the stake and the kite should be near 90 degrees for maximum holding force. The medium Toughstake™ works well for small and medium kites in moderate winds. Our tests have showed in typical beach sand the medium stake can hold up to 175 lbs. 

We recommend setting the stake, and then pulling on the ring to get an idea of the sand conditions of the beach. Depending on the moisture content of the sand, the holding force can very greatly. It is always best to test first and then re-anchor your Toughstake™ and then tie off your kite. In addition, many people will attach the stake to two Toughstake™ anchors. This gives a second backup.
